x8 Data is a B2B, data collection firm that uses open web data to source sales prospects for companies looking to grow. x8’s own interest in scaling meant they needed to compete against much larger customer databases selling off-the-shelf solutions with unreliable and outdated prospects.
I worked with x8 Data stakeholders to execute a new strategy and website that could help them enter a new weight class with customer-driven messaging and a professionalized digital presence.
A discovery process evoked the deeper motives, values, and problem areas the company wanted to explore.
Conversations with company stakeholders and 8 former clients evinced exactly how teams were using and benefiting from x8 Data's solutions.
This created an focal point around which the site architecture, page content, and conversion opportunities could all address the fundamental problems of sales & marketing teams: a reliable source of quality leads.
Content strategy and competitor audits uncovered how sales reps located and used their customer data. These insights helped me position x8 Data in the "lead gen" space.
This gave shape to an optimal structure for site layout and where high-value conversion points would sit within each page (show on the wireframes below).
Tech-driven and duotone, these icons accompany cards and tiles that sell the functional aspects of x8 Data’s professional approach.
